Flight/Launch Criteria
Launches are held on the
second Sunday of most months. Except for all day launches, launches start
at 1:00p.m.CT. Our launch site is located in Leonard, Oklahoma. Approximately 1 mile east
of the Leonard High school. Our waiver is 9,000 FT MSL. Launch fees are:
Motors 1/4A through G - FREE!
Motors H and above - $5.00 for Tulsa Rocketry members and $10.00 for non-members.
Anyone wishing to fly HIGH POWER (H and above) must be a
member of Tripoli or NAR. NO EXCEPTIONS! You must provide proof (i.e.: Membership
Card). Children accompanied by a parent may launch for free.
Note:
Our launch site is a working sod farm. We have a good working relationship
with the land owner. We are careful about where we park and drive on
the site and we are careful to pick up after ourselves. Therefore,
use of the field by non-members at times other than an official club
launch is not permitted.
The
following criteria must be met or the launch will be scrubbed:

- Temperature at least 50° F
- Ceiling 1,500Ft
Weather conditions for high fire danger launches:
- All of the above conditions plus the following additional
restrictions

- No flights at all if wind is over 12 mph
