High Frontier 6  Contest Rules

7+ Altitude

This contest is for a rocket flying on any impulse that is at least 7 inches in diameter. The rocket need not be entirely the same diameter from nose to tail, but at least 66% of the rocket length must be at lease 7 inches in diameter. The rocket must carry an electronic altimeter and must be brought back to the RSO table while still beeping/displaying the maximum altitude of the flight. The rocket must be recovered in flyable condition similar to a Level 1 certification flight.

Any impulse motor that will achieve a safe flight will be allowed. If the rocket is a Warloc and is participating in the Drag Race, the Drag Race flight will not count as a flight in the 7+ Altitude contest. It must be flown again at a time separate from the Drag Race.

The winner will receive a $100 prize.

Best in Show

This contest is a People's Choice competition. The rocket must fly at least once during the High Frontier weekend and be recovered safely and in a flyable condition.

This contest is open to all fliers, be they children or adults. Each contestant will be given a number tag to place on their rocket once it has been flown. Voters will write the number of their choice on a ballot and place it in the ballot container at the Registration table.

The winner will receive a High Frontier 6 trophy.

The time will start when the rocket first moves off the pad. Timing will end when the rocket touches ground or is lost from sight by the timer. The rocket must be returned to the RSO table in re-flyable condition. The winner will be the team with the longest flight time. The winning team will receive a High Frontier 6 trophy and bragging rights for one year.

This contest is open to any high power flier that has a Warloc rocket. The rocket must be flown on an Aerotech J570 motor. The first rocket off the pad wins. Photographic evidence will break any tie.
