Phoenix Project Update

Subject: Phoenix Airframe Crew Updates

Notes Presented by Mike Doyle.

Phoenix Project, March 9, 2002

The airframe crew met at the construction site on Saturday and continued work on the ten foot section of 14 inch sonotube.

We began by removing the bag that was used to vacuum bag the tube and then removed the batting and release cloth. Some of the "release" cloth was not so eager to release, but no damage was done to the surface during this process.

After thoroughly examining the entire surface, we began wet-sanding the tube. This process took a couple of hours.

When the wet-sanding was completed, the tube was wiped clean and allowed to dry.

Finally, a thin coat of West Systems 206/105 was applied and left to dry until next week.

In attendance on this work day:

Rick Norrgard, Randy Luhman, Robert Cowden, and Mike Doyle

The airframe crew will meet again next Saturday, March 16.
