Armageddon Project Update

Hello Everyone:

Well it's obviously winter now!  Sure glad we didn't have a launch scheduled for this past weekend.  :)

If we can't fly 'em this time of year, we can sure build 'em.  So to continue our Armageddon project, I would like to schedule another build session for Sunday, December 17th, beginning about 10:00 AM and concluding no later than 3:00 PM.  Jeff Chaplin has again agreed to host us at his house in Broken Arrow.

Our primary objective will be to build the motor mount unit for the Armageddon.  We have some great 1/2" thick balsa-core Norbond, donated by Doug Harrison, that we will be using to make custom centering rings.  We also have a full-length 98mm motor tube, donated by Mike Doyle, so we're all set on materials.  We just need some elbow grease.

In addition, we'll also begin sanding the airframe tubes we fiberglassed last time, so be sure to bring your sandpaper and dust masks.
