Armageddon Project Update

Hello Everyone:

We will hold an Armageddon build session this coming Sunday afternoon in Doug Harrison's shop at Harvey Young Airport.  We will begin about 1:00 PM and conclude no later than 5:00 PM.

For those who may not be familiar with that area, Harvey Young Airport is located in the square mile bordered by 129th E. Ave on the west, 145th E. Ave on the east, 11th street on the north and 21st street on the south.  The best way to get there is to drive across 11th street and turn south on 135th E. Ave.  Drive south for a few blocks until you come to the airport entrance.  Continue south, turn right at the first row of hangars and look for Doug's white Toyota pickup or my Jeep.  You're there.

We will be setting up a 10 x 20-foot portable carport inside Doug's shop, in order to give us a work space that we can heat efficiently.  We will also be setting up two 4 x 8 foot work tables on loan from Russell Moore.  Thanks Russell !  Additionally, Doug has given us permission to temporarily house the trailer in his shop, so I will be bringing the trailer from Leonard on Sunday.  That will also give us an opportunity to inspect the launch equipment and make any repairs necessary to begin the flying season.

For the Armageddon, we will be creating the fin template and begin cutting fins out of Norbond.  We'll also be doing some sanding on the airframe tubes.  Please bring as many tools as you can.  Since this will be our first session at the new shop, there's no telling what we will "need" once we get started.
